Being a favorite of Zen's from long ago, she brings along her familiars NoahClue & RootsOfJustice to see if the Disney dub from 1997 still holds up today. Being an adaptation by the world's most family friendly corporation, we wanted to see if it does justice to the much different world of anime from the late 1980s. Thanks to our special requested episode, the Dub Talk boys Noah, Amon & Hardy are heading to a hot springs vacation run by the world's most adorable inn keeper. Never too early to start working for a living, we're taking a look at the 2018 Madhouse film OKKO'S INN!
Becoming a junior inn keeper while still in elementary school may not sound like a picnic for most, but young Okko (with the help of her spirit buddies) brings such positivity to the cozy inn that it's no wonder all the guests leave with a smile on their face. Plus who wouldn't want a taste of that legendary Hot Springs Pudding?! Now the big question, does this English dub full of entirely fresh faced thespians carry the film to the end? Toss on a kimono to find out, as we enjoy this lightly salted anime delight together.

The 5 year anniversary of Dub Talk continues, this month as NoahClue gets to highlight one of his favorite Japanese anime. Being the cartoon guy you might expect something silly or funny or full of falling anvils. But nope, this month we're taking Dub Talk's first dive into the world of CLAMP with their robot girlfriend series: CHOBITS.
Bringing SpacemanHardy, Lilac & Andrew along for the adventure, the group heads back to the year of 2002, when technology was advancing fast but hadn't quite gotten to the dystopian future we currently live in. And in that era folks were asking all kinds of questions like: can you fall in love with a computer? Do robots have the capacity for emotions? And how in the world are we going to get ourselves a pair of underpants?! All that and more being the heart of this seemingly juvenile yet surprisingly mature Madhouse series.
So get out your old AV cables, dust off your CRT monitor and do the wakey wakey exercises with us as we analyze the English dub of Chobits! Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-dum-baa-baa-BA!

In an act of rebellion, Noah has traded out the anime for the cartoons to talk about Dreamworks' latest series: Kipo & the Age of Wonderbeasts. Along with music expert Amon and special guest Rob the Wonderful (Cartoon Clipshow), the group enter a very distinct future where humans are on the decline while animals have taken over. Romantic tension? Love triangle? Family encounters that start getting way too close for comfort? It must be a Valentine's episode!
Yes in the proud tradition of romantic anime enjoyed only by the trashiest of otaku, it's time for the annual V-Day episode of Dub Talk. Dungeon master Gigi has locked Lilac & Noah in the cage again (well actually they walked in of their own free will this time, they seem to be enjoying this) to dissect the incest-laden trashfest that is Diomedia's DOMESTIC GIRLFRIEND.
